Some individuals stand out in their nations history, and shine, even when surrounded by other giants. Yeats was one of these. Despite his troubled personal life, he was a prominent poet and politician in Ireland. He was also very much a “man of his time” with a strong interest in esoteric thought, and membership in the Order of the Golden Dawn.
This book, a signed presentation copy, was sent to Cécil Georges-bazile, the French translator and editor who translated much of his work into French. The year before he sent this, he had been elected to the Irish senate. A man of many talents indeed.
